Popular Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky, has made a significant life change: permanently leaving Nigeria for a country where he feels truly accepted.
A New Chapter, A New Identity
In a recent TikTok live session, Bobrisky shared his relief and joy at finally being recognised as female, a recognition he claims Nigeria would never grant. “If I lived in Nigeria for 100 years, they would never put ‘female’ on my passport,” he stated, emphasizing his decision to make his new home permanent, with only occasional visits back to Nigeria. He also voiced his frustration with Nigerian officials, accusing some senators and ministers of prioritizing bullying him over their official duties. “Am I that important?” he questioned, highlighting the seemingly disproportionate attention he received. Bobrisky revealed that he became fully aware of this high-level scrutiny in November 2024. Now settled in his new home, Bobrisky is embracing a fresh start, free from the constant criticism he faced in Nigeria. He asked, “Why would I want to leave a place where they appreciate, love, and care for me?” He definitively declared that Nigeria is no longer his home.
