Zurich – FIFA announced the winner of the expanded 2025 Club World Cup could earn up to $125 million. The tournament will take place in the United States from June 14 to July 13.
Prize Distribution Details
The Club World Cup features a total prize fund of $1 billion. FIFA will share $525 million among all 32 participating teams. An additional $475 million will depend on team performance. The champion team might receive a record amount after playing seven matches. European clubs will receive the highest payments, between $12.81 million and $38.19 million. South American teams will each get $15.21 million. Clubs from North and Central America, the Caribbean, Asia, and Africa will receive $9.55 million each. Auckland City from Oceania will earn $3.58 million for participation. FIFA President Gianni Infantino stated this is the largest prize money for this type of competition format.
Solidarity Program
FIFA is also starting a $250 million solidarity program. This program will redistribute funds to football globally. Infantino confirmed all event proceeds will support club football worldwide. The 2025 Club World Cup will offer the highest prize money in its history.
