Owerri – The Nollywood community is reeling after two actors dead were discovered last Friday following a house party in Owerri, Imo State. The tragic incident unfolded after a film wrap party hosted at a director’s home, where guests reportedly consumed food and drinks.
Unclear Circumstances Surround Deaths
According to eyewitness reports, four individuals were affected at the gathering. Two were tragically found lifeless, while two others were discovered unconscious and rushed to a nearby hospital. Thankfully, the survivors are said to be responding to treatment. However, the exact cause leading to the two actors dead remains shrouded in mystery, with conflicting accounts adding to the confusion. A witness identified as Kaito Karisia called the host’s version of events “incoherent.” The host allegedly claimed he left the others sleeping in the parlour, woke around 4:00 a.m. to switch power sources, and returned to find one person deceased and the others unresponsive before raising an alarm.

He further noted that Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, has ordered an autopsy to determine the precise cause of death for the two actors dead. “The results will determine the next line of action on the matter,” Okoye added. Reports indicate several arrests have been made, including film crew members and directors, as the investigation continues. The identities of the deceased have not yet been officially released.
