Femi Otedola Buys Two Dubai Mansions for Daughter’s Wedding

How Temi Otedola apparently convinced her billionaire father to drop millions on luxury properties for her big day.

Lagos, Nigeria – So here’s what happens when you’re a billionaire and your daughter knows exactly what to say. Femi Otedola just revealed he bought not one, but two mansions in Dubai for Temi Otedola’s wedding to singer Mr Eazi. According to the oil magnate himself, his daughter’s well-timed requests may have been more calculated than they seemed during their recent celebrations across Monaco, Dubai, and Iceland.

How Temi Worked Her Magic on the First Mansion

For 15 years straight, Otedola had been saying no to Dubai real estate. The same agent. Over 70 properties. Always a hard pass. Then came a family trip that changed everything.

“There is this guy that has been showing me properties in Dubai for the last 15 years, I never bought. I am not exaggerating at least 70 properties and I never bought,” Otedola shared during the wedding festivities.

But here’s where it gets interesting. During what seemed like casual sightseeing, they stumbled upon what would eventually host the engagement. That’s when Temi dropped her line: “Papa, you know I can have my engagement ceremony in this house, why don’t you buy it?”

Now, anyone who knows Temi understands she’s not exactly chatty. “She does not talk much but when she does, it is deep,” her father admitted. Which probably makes her words carry more weight when she does speak up.

The Moment Everything Clicked

That night, something shifted for Otedola. Maybe it was the father in him, or maybe his daughter’s words just hit different. “I got home and slept over it, I was saying so I am going to spend all this money on this house? Something now struck me that common Femi, money you spend is not yours. Life is for the living.”

Sounds like the kind of 3 AM realisation that changes your whole perspective on wealth. By morning, he was calling that patient agent to close the deal.

When One Mansion Wasn’t Enough

Eight months later, the agent was back. Another house, same street, freshly completed. Otedola figured why not take a look, though he did already own property right there.

Temi tagged along for this viewing too. And once again, she had thoughts: “Papa you know, this house would be nice for our after party?”

His reaction? “I was like you are very unserious.” But here’s the thing about being a dad, sometimes you buy a second mansion just to see your daughter smile. “Anyways to make her happy, I bought it on the same street.”

The after-party apparently lived up to expectations.

A Wedding That Spans Continents

The whole Temi and Mr Eazi affair has been quite the spectacle, stretching across three countries with Monaco, Dubai, and Iceland all getting their moment. Those Dubai mansions weren’t just sitting pretty, they actually served as venues for the engagement and after-party.

Since the photos started making rounds online, the wedding seems to have captured people’s attention. Though whether it’s the romance or the sheer scale of wealth on display might be up for debate. Either way, the Otedola family clearly doesn’t do things halfway.
