Abuja – Nigeria’s anti-graft agency, the EFCC, has publicly declared four individuals wanted. They are sought in connection with alleged crypto fraud linked to the online trading platform Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX).
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission named the suspects as Seyi Oloyede, Emmanuel Uko, Adefowora Oluwanisola, and Adefowora Abiodun Olaonipekun. According to the agency, these individuals are accused of using the CBEX platform to defraud unsuspecting investors.
Public Appeal and Case Background
The EFCC is now appealing to the public for help. Anyone with useful information about the suspects’ locations is urged to contact the commission. Dele Oyewale, the EFCC’s Head of Media & Publicity, signed the official wanted notice. The agency emphasized its ongoing commitment to tackling financial crimes, highlighting the growing issue of crypto fraud.
This public declaration follows earlier court action. A Federal High Court in Abuja previously granted the EFCC permission to arrest six individuals allegedly connected to the CBEX scheme, which reportedly involved over $1 billion. Some of the individuals named in that court order are among those the EFCC has now declared wanted in this significant crypto fraud investigation.
