ILESHA, Osun State – A N5 million reward now stands for information leading to the recapture of inmates who recently broke free from Ilesha’s Medium Custodial Centre. The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) announced this significant Ilesha inmates reward on Wednesday, aiming to bring the escapees back into custody.
Umar Abubakar, the Deputy Controller of Corrections and NCoS Public Relations Officer, delivered the news in a formal statement.
“We are calling on patriotic Nigerians to come forward,” Abubakar stated. “Your useful information can assist security agencies in the re-arrest of these fleeing inmates.”
Confidentiality Assured for Tips on Ilesha Inmates Reward
To encourage public cooperation, the NCoS has firmly promised strict confidentiality for anyone providing credible leads. Your identity will be protected.
“A N5 million reward is set for any individual whose information directly results in the successful recapture of these escapees,” Abubakar reiterated. He stressed that all reports will be handled with “utmost confidentiality and anonymity,” reinforcing the integrity of the Ilesha inmates reward initiative.
The NCoS has established several channels for the public to share information easily. These include a Public Complaint Response Desk and dedicated hotlines.
Full Jailbreak Details Still Emerging
While the NCoS has confirmed investigations are actively ongoing, the precise number of inmates who escaped and the specific circumstances surrounding the jailbreak have not yet been fully disclosed.
