Lagos, Nigeria – The Lagos State House of Assembly unanimously supported Speaker Mojisola Meranda with a vote of confidence on Monday. The vote confirms her leadership role.
Oladipo Ajomale, representing Oshodi/Isolo 2, proposed the motion. Ajomale stated that Mojisola Meranda was properly elected. He said she is the best choice to lead the Assembly. Aro Moshood seconded the motion. All 34 other lawmakers present agreed.
Assembly staff also showed support for Speaker Meranda.
The House adjourned. The next meeting date is not yet set. The strong support shows that Speaker Mojisola Meranda continues to maintain a secure and positive place with her collegues.
