Wanted Kidnapper Arrested By Nigeria Immigration

NIGERIA – The Nigeria Immigration Service has made an arrest. The Service arrested a wanted suspected kidnapper and ritualist. His name is Obi Levi Obieze.

Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service, KN Nandap, confirmed this arrest.

Reports say the Enugu State Police Command wanted Obi Levi Obieze. This was for alleged involvement in kidnapping and ritual killings.

Suspect Caught At Border Checkpoint

Service officers arrested the suspect at Gbaji checkpoint. This checkpoint is located along Badagry-Seme Road. He was attempting to flee the country. He used a motorcycle at the time.

Alleged Crimes Detailed

The suspect is allegedly involved in a recent crime. Police allege he kidnapped a 13-year-old girl earlier this week.

Three men reportedly abducted the victim. She was walking with her father to a farm. Nigeria Police later rescued the girl. They found her at a shrine. Police link the shrine to the suspect.

One report from National Scoop gathered that Obi Levi Obieze admitted to the alleged crimes. This happened during initial questioning.

Police and Immigration Will Collaborate

The Nigeria Immigration Service is working with the Nigeria Police Force. They will hand over the suspect. Further investigation will take place.

Public Relations Officer of the Immigration Service, ACI AS Akinlabi, spoke about the collaboration. He stated: “The Nigeria Immigration Service is collaborating with the Nigeria Police Force for the suspect’s handover and further investigation.” He also reaffirmed the Service’s commitment to Border Security.
