Evans Seeks Plea Bargain, Offers 14 Trucks

Lagos, Nigeria – Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, known as Evans, the convicted billionaire kidnapper, has requested a plea bargain from the Lagos State High Court. Evans, in a surprising move, offered to forfeit assets, including 14 trucks.

Evans lawyer, Mr. Etudo Emefo, presented the plea bargain application today. The application states he will forfeit the 14 trucks to the Lagos State Government. The proceeds from the trucks will go to his victims.

While incarcerated at Kirikiri Maximum Prison, Evans earned a National Certificate in Education in Economics. He is currently studying Political Science at the National Open University of Nigeria on a Federal Government scholarship. He also completed training in welding and metal fabrication. Emefo presented documents confirming these achievements to the court, emphasizing his client’s claimed remorse and rehabilitation.

The court adjourned the case until April 17, 2025. This delay allows the state government time to review his plea bargain application.

The government has not yet stated if they will accept the offer.
