But that’s not all! We also smashed a daily energy record. The nation consumed a whopping 125,542.06 megawatt-hours (MWh) in a single day! Think of all the homes, businesses, and industries powered by that energy. This beat the previous record of 125,159.48MWh, also from February 14th, by 382.58MWh.
The peak generation happened late in the evening, at 9:30 PM on March 3, 2025. While we’re celebrating, it’s worth noting that we’re still chasing the all-time peak of 5,801.60MW, set back on March 1, 2021. We’re only 88MW away – so close!
