Agbure, Ogun State – A woman is dead and her husband is wanted by police following an Ogun State stabbing incident. Josephine Isaac, 36, was allegedly stabbed to death by her husband, Oju, during a heated argument. The crime has rocked the quiet Agbure community in Ogun Waterside Local Government Area.
CSP Omolola Odutola, the state Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the tragic event. She said Josephine’s younger sister, Blessing Isaac, reported the crime to the Abigi Divisional Police Headquarters. The deadly fight happened around 1 a.m. on Thursday, leading to this terrible stabbing.
Argument Turns Deadly
Odutola explained that the couple’s quarrel turned violent. Oju allegedly stabbed Josephine multiple times in the neck and chest with a knife. Realizing the severity of her injuries, he fled, leaving her bleeding. This Ogun State stabbing has left the community in shock.
Josephine was rushed to Ibiade General Hospital, but doctors couldn’t save her. She was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
A manhunt is now underway for Oju. Police are urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward. They emphasized that justice will be served in this stabbing case.
Police strongly condemned the act. They reminded the public to seek peaceful solutions to conflict and to report any instances of domestic abuse to the nearest police station. “Violence is never the answer,” Odutola stated. “Report any signs of abuse. We are here to help. This stabbing is a reminder of the tragic consequences of domestic violence.”
