Aisha Lawal Denies MC Oluomo Venza Allegation: Legal Threat

LAGOS – Nollywood star Aisha Lawal is hitting back hard against claims she received a Toyota Venza from Musiliu Akinsanya, widely known as MC Oluomo, a prominent figure in the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW). Lawal didn’t just deny the story; she branded it false and defamatory, emphatically vowing to take the individual behind the MC Oluomo Venza allegation to court. “I’m going to court,” she stated unequivocally.

Appearing on the popular “Talk To B” podcast, a visibly frustrated Lawal tackled the viral accusation head-on. She clarified that she proudly drives a Lexus GX 460 and has never been gifted a car by MC Oluomo or anyone else. This entire saga, now widely referred to as the MC Oluomo Venza allegation, has been a hot topic online.

“Why Would I Die Mysteriously?” – Lawal Slams Baseless MC Oluomo Venza Allegation

Lawal expressed her utter disbelief regarding a video that sparked the rumor. “One man, an adult…sat and set a camera and said MC Oluomo collected a blue Venza from him and gave it to me,” she recounted. “I didn’t collect any car. Why would I die mysteriously when I didn’t eat mysteriously?” Lawal questioned, her bewilderment clear. She admitted she only watched the contentious video after hearing her name invoked in a disturbing prayer within it.

“I didn’t watch that video until I heard the prayer where he said, ‘Aisha Lawal, I’m the owner of that blue Venza with you.’” Lawal firmly rejected any link to the MC Oluomo Venza allegation. “Put some respect on my name. I’ve never even driven a Venza. I drive a GX 460,” she asserted, also mentioning her property investments as a testament to her own hard work.

From Night Buses to Lexus: Actress Shares Her Journey, Vows to Fight

Sharing her story, Lawal emphasized the years of dedication and hard work that have defined her career. She feels such baseless, defamatory claims try to undermine her achievements. She is resolute in her mission to clear her name from the persistent MC Oluomo Venza allegation. “COVID era was a turning point in my life. In a week or two, I made 10 million naira,” she shared, offering a glimpse into her business acumen.

Lawal also opened up about earlier, tougher times. “I started driving at the age of 16…I used to take night buses from Odogwu to Aba…I even entered vehicles transporting fowls from Aba to Ibadan.” With the determination forged through those experiences, Lawal concluded with a stern warning to her accuser: “I cannot study Law for seven years and not go all the way to court. He should get a good lawyer.”
