WASHINGTON – President Joe Biden strongly condemned the recent arson attack Shapiro on home. An arsonist allegedly set fire to Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro’s residence on Sunday night. Governor Shapiro and his family evacuated safely.
Governor Addresses Incident
Governor Shapiro spoke about the attack on Monday. He expressed deep concern over such violence. “This kind of violence is becoming far too common,” Shapiro stated. He added he doesn’t “give a damn if it’s coming from one particular side or the other.”
Biden Reacts on Social Media
President Biden shared his reaction on Facebook. He wrote that he and First Lady Jill Biden were “disgusted by the attack on the Shapiro family and their home during the first night of Passover.” Biden expressed relief the family was safe and thanked first responders. He again denounced the arson attack on Shapiro home, adding, “There is no place for this type of evil in America… we must stand united against hatred and violence.”
