 A deadly war has erupted in Esa Oke, Osun State, leaving several people feared dead. This Osun State Kingship Dispute began between Ilesha people and Esa Oke indigenes over the coronation of a king in Ido Ayeginle, Esa Oke.

According to a worried source, “There’s a war going on in Esa Oke between Ilesha people and Esa Oke indigenes… Ilesha people want to crown a king in Ido Ayeginle in Esa Oke, but the indigenes are strongly opposed to it.” This Osun State Kingship Dispute escalated into a full-blown war on Monday morning, February 3, 2025, with video clips in possession of National Scoop, showing gunshots, panicked residents, and dead bodies on the streets.
