Diocese Confirms Kidnapping, Asks for Prayers
The Chancellor of the Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan, Rev. Fr. Jacob Shanet, confirmed the abduction. He described it as “deeply saddening” in a statement. Fr. Shanet asked Catholics and the public to pray for Fr. Amos’s quick and safe return. “We solicit your prayers for his quick and safe release,” he said.
Call for Calm as Search Begins
Fr. Shanet urged calm and asked people not to take matters into their own hands. He assured that the Diocese would use “every legitimate and available means” to secure Fr. Amos’s safe return.
