A couple, Caleb and Tate, died in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, after a violent fight. The domestic dispute turned fatal for both individuals.
Caleb, a security agent, and his wife, Tate, attacked each other. A neighbor reported hearing screams from their home. The neighbor said, “It was like a horror movie. By the time we rushed in, there was blood everywhere.”
Reports state Tate cut Caleb’s genitals. Caleb then stabbed Tate repeatedly in the head, neck, and genitals. Police do not know the cause of the fight.
A family member confirmed the deaths. The bodies are at a hospital morgue in Ado-Ekiti.
A neighbor, Mrs. Adeyemi, was surprised. “They were always quiet, never one to cause trouble. I can’t believe this happened,” she said.
Area residents are shocked. Police are investigating the events leading to the deaths.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) SP Abutu Sunday confirmed the incident. He said, “Investigation has commenced to know the actual cause of their death.”
