Ikorodu, Nigeria – A 20-year-old man, Daniel Olojede, was remanded to a correctional center by an Ikorodu Chief Magistrates’ Court. He faces charges of allegedly defiling a six-year-old girl.
Details of the Allegations
Olojede faces four counts: defilement, indecent assault, child abuse, and assault. Prosecutor ASP Aminu Isaac stated that the alleged crimes occurred on March 14 at a residence in Ikorodu.
According to the prosecutor, Olojede also allegedly assaulted the victim’s four-year-old sibling. These actions reportedly violate sections of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015. The court did not accept Olojede’s plea. Instead, the court ordered his case file be sent to the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions for legal guidance.
The case is adjourned until May 22. Olojede will remain in custody pending the legal advice.
