Kebbi State – Gunmen attacked the Bachaka border community in Argungu Local Government Area on Tuesday. They killed two Customs officers and one local resident.
Police Confirm Attack
State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Nafiu Abubakar, confirmed the Tuesday incident. The specific unit of the slain officers is not yet determined. Kebbi State Commissioner of Police, Sani Bello, visited the scene. He assured residents security forces will continue fighting criminal activities. Bello stated it suggests the criminals’ strength is decreasing due to ongoing security operations. He affirmed authorities will keep fighting terrorism.
Recent Security Actions
They occurred less than 24 hours after a separate incident. A joint security force killed two terrorists in the state during that earlier operation. The deadly Bachaka attack increases security concerns in border areas. This leads to calls for more vigilance and stronger security measures.
