Kano police warn the public about planned Kano protests that could disrupt peace. They have arrested 17 suspects linked to potential violence.
Police spokesman SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa said the arrests are meant to prevent unrest. Armed officers and armored vehicles are now at key locations. These include the Nassarawa mini palace, where deposed Emir Aminu Ado Bayero lives.
Security is also tight at the Government House entrance. Police are diverting traffic on the state road and in Tarauni.
“Stay alert and report anything suspicious,” Kiyawa urged the public. He thanked Kano residents for helping maintain order.
Police warn against illegal gatherings, marches, or violence related to the Kano protests.
