Washington D.C. – Elon Musk, advisor to U.S. President Donald Trump, called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s approach to the war “cruel and inhumane.”
On X, Sunday, Musk said Zelenskyy rejected peace and pushed for more conflict without gains.
“What I said over two years ago was that Ukraine should seek peace or suffer severe loss of life for no gains,” Musk wrote. “The latter was Zelenskyy’s choice. Now, he wants to do that again. This is cruel and inhumane.”
Tensions Rise Over U.S. Aid
Musk’s words follow a tense meeting between Zelenskyy and Trump at the White House. Trump accused Zelenskyy of being ungrateful for American support in the war against Russia.
The discussion became heated. Tensions are rising over U.S. aid to Ukraine. Trump questions if more support aligns with U.S. interests.
Ceasefire Proposal Developed
Britain, France, and Ukraine plan to develop a new ceasefire proposal. They will give it to the United States.
This follows Zelenskyy’s discussion with Trump. European leaders want a diplomatic end to the war. The U.S. administration is reassessing its role in the conflict. The plan’s future in Washington is uncertain.
