The National Examinations Council (NECO) released the 2024 Senior School Certificate Examination SSCE Results today. NECO reported that 57,114 candidates achieved five credits or more, including English Language and Mathematics. This represents a 67.35% pass rate.
Of the 86,067 candidates who registered, 84,799 sat for the examination. A total of 70,711 candidates, or 83.39%, obtained five credits and above, regardless of English Language and Mathematics.
NECO also addressed examination malpractice. 6,160 candidates were booked for various forms of malpractice. Seven supervisors from Oyo, Ogun, Lagos, Ebonyi, and Cross River states were blacklisted for aiding malpractice.
Prof. Dantani Wushishi, NECO Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, stated that the council has reduced malpractice cases. He noted a 27.7% decrease in such cases compared to the previous year. The release of these SSCE Results show this improvement.
Candidates can access their SSCE Results on the NECO website. They will need their examination registration number.
