Portable Blasts Father Over Police Issue

Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has called out his father for not intervening in his ongoing dispute with the Ogun State Police.

The controversy began when officials from the Ogun State Planning and Development Permit Authority (OGPDPA) sealed off Portable’s Odogwu Bar and Restaurant because of a lack of approved permits and insufficient air space.

Portable alleged that the officials arrested over 20 people, including artists and customers, and seized vehicles, gadgets, and belongings. However, the Ogun State Commissioner for Physical Planning, Olatunji Odunlami, dismissed Portable’s claims as “spurious and blatant falsehood.”

Portable took to Instagram to express his disappointment with his father, stating that he had assisted with handling the projects and should have settled the issue with the police. He described his father as a “bad father” and questioned why he hadn’t gone to the police to resolve the matter.

The situation has led to nine individuals being arraigned on a five-count charge, including armed violence and intent to kill, while Portable remains at large.

He wrote, “But why my papa no go police station to cover me, he is a bad father. Na him I dey give money to do all those houses, na him chop my money. If too say him don settle with them I no go get a problem with this people.

“Why my papa go dey run for police? House wey be say na you I dey give money make you run am. All those houses belong to me Badmus Family.
