Singer Habeeb Okikiola, known as Portable, turned himself in to Lagos State Police on Wednesday. The Ogun State Police Command had previously declared him wanted following an alleged assault on government officials.
Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed Portable’s surrender. Hundeyin said Ogun State Police officers will take the singer into custody from Lagos.
Police allege Portable attacked officials performing their lawful duties. The authorities had issued a public call for information leading to his arrest.
By surrendering, Portable appears to be cooperating with the investigation. The police investigation will continue. The outcome of this investigation will determine Portable’s next legal steps.
