Highway Attack

The victims were in a Sienna vehicle from Olumoh Express transport when attacked. State police spokesperson SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi reported that about eight armed individuals stopped the bus between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. The attackers took seven occupants by force, including the driver, constituting a significant kidnapping.

Rescue Operation Ongoing

After the kidnapping, police and local vigilantes began searching the nearby bush. The search located three children, aged two to twelve, unharmed. “Three children were located and safely rescued,” Ejire-Adeyemi confirmed. Information from one child helped contact their family, leading to their reunion. The investigation and search continue for the remaining victims and the individuals responsible for the kidnapping. Commissioner of Police Adekimi Ojo affirmed the command’s commitment to safety and asked the public for any useful information.
