Makurdi – Several people are feared dead after recent Benue attacks. Suspected armed herdsmen also burned many homes in the violence.
The attacks happened on Saturday. They targeted communities in Buruku and Tarka Local Government Areas (LGAs). This violence continues a pattern of conflict in the region. Plateau and Benue states frequently experience clashes. Earlier it occurred recently in Gwer West LGA, killing two people.

Villages including Ortese Mbaatsua and Garagboughul faced significant violence. Residents fled their homes during the attacks. Many families are now displaced and seek safety in nearby towns. They lost homes and belongings.
