Students Protest Disappearance: Where is Quadri Ogunbode?

Mowe, Nigeria – The Lagos-Ibadan Expressway was brought to a standstill Monday as students protested the disappearance of Quadri Ogunbode. Ogunbode, a 28-year-old LASU graduate, went missing weeks ago, and his fellow students are demanding answers.

A Mother’s Anguish Fuels Protest

The National Association of Ogun State Students (NAOSS) led the blockade, chanting slogans and holding signs demanding action. Their frustration stems from what they see as a sluggish police investigation. NAOSS President Kehinde Thomas emphasized the emotional toll on Ogunbode’s family, particularly his mother. The students feel that not enough is being done to find their missing classmate.

Thomas has appealed directly to the Inspector-General of Police, urging a more focused and intense investigation. The passionate demonstration underscores the students’ determination to keep Ogunbode’s case in the spotlight. They vow to continue their fight for justice until he is found, sending a powerful message: “An injury to one is an injury to all.”
