Türkiye wants an immediate ceasefire. Fighting in the region is getting worse. Millions are at risk.
“We are sad about the violence and problems in the country,” said Oncu Keceli. He speaks for the Turkish Foreign Ministry. “We must stop fighting to make peace.”
The fighting is between the Sudanese army and Rapid Support Forces (RSF). Since April 2023, it has killed over 20,000 people. It has also forced 14 million to leave their homes.
Famine Threatens Millions
The World Food Program says two million people in Sudan may starve. The UN warns of a disaster. They want the fighting to stop.
The fighting spreads to most of it’s states. Türkiye says it will help bring peace.
“Türkiye will help end the conflict in Sudan,” Keceli said. “We want peace and safety there soon.”
A ceasefire and peace are needed fast. Millions of lives depend on it.
