Ode-Irele – A 22-year-old woman, Joy Tale, has died in Ode-Irele, Ondo State, in what police describe as a hacking death allegedly committed by her landlord’s son. The suspect, Odunayo Olomolatan, 41, is accused of attacking the young tenant killed in Ondo, authorities are now investigating, during an argument.
Police spokesman Olayinka Ayanlade confirmed the sad event. “Yes, I can confirm to you that the lady was allegedly hacked to death during an argument between her and her landlord’s son,” Ayanlade stated to reporters.
Investigation into Tenant Killed Ondo
The accused, Olomolatan, was quickly arrested. He is currently in custody at the Divisional Police Headquarters in Ode-Irele.

- “The suspect has been arrested, and investigation is ongoing to unravel circumstances surrounding the lady’s death,” Ayanlade further explained.
Local Leader Urges Calm
Following the incident, Olajide Akinfe, the local government chairman for Irele, visited the police station. He appealed to the community to remain peaceful.
- Akinfe stressed that residents should not take the law into their own hands.
- He also gave assurances that authorities are working to ensure the suspect in the tenant killed in Ondo case will face justice.
