Lagos State Police have arrested 35 people suspected of traffic robbery in Ajah and Elemoro. The arrests followed a week of operations.
Police spokesman CSP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the arrests. The suspects were caught in different locations in Ajah. Arrests on February 24 included Alao Oluwafemi, Adeshina Akinrinde, and others.
Hundeyin said tactical teams in Elemoro, covering Lekki Phase 1 to Epe, carried out the operation.
Increased Security Measures
Hundeyin stated that police are using similar tactics across Lagos to reduce violent crime. “We have tactical teams in other parts of the state,” he said. “They also have the same mandate to arrest violent criminals.”
He confirmed that all tactical teams have the same orders. The 35 suspects have been charged in court. This shows the police command’s promise to keep Lagos safe and fight crime.
