Abuja – Former Senator Shehu Sani said Trump’s tariffs threaten Nigeria’s economy faces serious risks. Sani called the tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump a “suicide mission” for Nigeria. He noted most Nigerians under 40 own far more Chinese products than American goods.

Sani wrote on X, “Many families can point to ten Chinese products in their homes before pointing to One American product which is either Hollywood movies or Pfizer products.” This highlights why Trump’s tariffs threaten Nigeria’s economy is a concern due to potential trade disruption.
