Woman Arrested for Flogging Baby to Death in Delta State

Isiokolo – A woman has been arrested in Isiokolo, Delta State, after allegedly flogging her one-year-old baby boy to death with a cane. The woman arrested for flogging baby is currently in police custody following the devastating incident reported by community members.

Sources suggest the woman acted out of deep frustration. Neighbours believe this frustration stemmed from the child’s alleged father, a suspected internet fraudster, who reportedly denied paternity during the pregnancy. They described the woman as transferring aggression onto the infant.

Tragic Outcome Despite Intervention

Community members became alarmed when they heard the infant’s prolonged cries. According to reports:

  • Neighbors rushed to intervene.
  • They found the child severely beaten.
  • Tragically, the child died from the injuries before reaching a hospital.

“The flogging was so severe that the little boy could not survive the beatings,” a distraught neighbor shared. The arrest of the woman flogging baby followed this tragic discovery.

Police Investigating Incident

Official confirmation from the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, is pending. However, police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the baby’s death. The woman arrested for flogging baby remains detained while the investigation proceeds.
